Situated on the southern slope of the picturesque Galtee Mountains, this private residence pays homage to the architectural vernacular and heritage of the Irish countryside. This dwelling's form harkens back to a time when needs were simpler. The overall design is driven by a number of sustainable strategies to both optimize energy efficiency and reduce this building's carbon footprint.
Ground Floor Plan - Interior spaces are organized to take advantage of daylighting and views to the valley below.
The elements that form this house are inspired by typical rural farm buildings arranged in a manner to provide a harmonious composition with it's surroundings.
